The other day, I went to this great residential complex in Badalona, consisting of  9 apartment blocks that create alleys, public areas and the main central square. Since I discovered this place through Instagram, I’ve wanted to go here to see the amazing architecture with my own eyes and to take some pictures. It was built between 1966 and 1973 and the main architect is  F.J. Barba Corsini.

What attracts more attention is those big characteristic pillars in V form, the great height of the buildings, the concrete and the colours used for each area. Also, the complex overall is really damaged, although it preserves the charm after all.

Unfortunately, the light was pretty poor that day, because it was really cloudy. Still, I’m quite happy with the pictures.

On January 22nd me and my family grabbed the car and went to Besalú. On our way,we first stopped in one of Barcelona’s beaches, I’m pretty sure it was the Marbella beach. There was a strong wind that day and the waves were very high, so it was pretty impressive and we had to shoot some pictures. Later on, we stopped at the lake of Banyoles, this time for an hour or so. Although it was a cloudy and rainy day and everything looks gray, every landscape was beautiful in its own way. After taking pictures and enjoying the animals and the nature at Banyoles, we arrived at Besalú. Located at the province of Girona, in La Garrotxa, Besalú is an old town with historical and artistic importance. I absolutely love old towns, especially this one, and hopefully you’ll like it too through these few photographies.

ps3: me and my sister started a blog dedicated only to film photography, if you want to check it out it’d be super cool.

I didn’t knew about this building until the beginning of this year. I started to see pictures on the internet of people doing fashion photoshoots or just capturing the beauty of this building and I loved it. I immediately decided I had to visit the Walden 7. This apartment block it’s from Ricardo Bofill and the original project consisted in a few more constructions, but for some reasons, only the main structure was built. The idea of this project was to create an utopic place to live, to construct a kind of vertical small town. Well, actually it isn’t very small; there are around one thousand neighbors living there, creating a big community.

If you want to know more about the Walden 7 you should watch this documentary from the nineties where you can see inside some of the apartments and know about the people that lived there known about waldenites.

A Day in Perpignan

As it says in the title, I went to Perpignan for only one day, with my mother and sister. We took a bus at eight o’clock in Barcelona and arrived there around 11 a.m. First, we visited  L’hôtel Pams, which is a great classic house beautifully decorated. Then, we wandered around the historic center and we went into some cute shops. On a lonely street, we found an amazing vintage shop so I couldn’t resist to stop by and have a look at all those great vintage items, although a bit pricey. After lunch, we had an ice cream and after that, we ate a crêpe (of course!). I liked Perpignan very much. What I loved the most is the historic center and all those beautiful buildings and facades. What I hated the most is the fact that I wasn’t able to communicate at all, for I’m not very good at speaking French (though I can mostly understand it). Oh, and also it was really hot, which made the walking day a bit annoying.

A Golden Post

I absolutely love sunsets, especially when the sun hasn’t hide at all and the light is warm golden. I’m obsessed with the way landscapes, objects or people look when they are bathed with the last sunlight of the day. Here you have some pictures we took on an August afternoon in La Selva del Camp. (by the way, all the pictures in which I appear are shot by my sister Marina)

A Blue Post

From Monday to Thursday I have been staying at a friend’s house in Llançà, a nice village on the north-east of Catalonia, very close to France. All we’ve done during these days has been going to the beach, playing board games and struggling with wifi. We went to three different beaches: platja Grifeu, platja del Port and la Gola. Because it is a coastal town, most of the pictures that I took have all blue tonalities, that’s why the name of the post. As always, non of the images are edited, so enjoy the beautiful landscape and natural treasure that is Llançà.

An Early Morning

I am done with all the exams, YAY! I’m so so happy, I can’t believe it’s all finally over…

On Friday, the day after we finished the exams, I went to Cambrils with some friends. We stayed there for three days and it was very cool. We all relaxed and chilled and enjoyed these days very much. On Sunday, the last day, we woke up at 5:45 a.m. to go and see the sunrise from the beach. It was super beautiful, and it was definitely worth sleeping five hours and walking 30 minutes in the morning.

An In-between-exams Day

I’m preparing for the university entrance exams (PAU) that I’m taking next week, so I’ve been reaaaally busy. But I thought I deserved some hours to forget about everything and enjoy life. Also, I feel summer approaching and it is such a good sensation!

Me and Judit bought a plain black cap and we bargained the price with the seller (it was really funny), I don’t know what will we do with it, but we are thinking in customizing it… we’ll see. Later on, we took photos with my colour light bulb (which is quite cool).

Anyways, here are some pictures of yesterday’s afternoon (shot with Judit’s camera -by me and her-)

A Family Lunch

Last Saturday me and my family celebrated my uncle’s birthday. We went to a beautiful rented house in Peratallada, a tiny Catalan village in L’Empordà. The place was huge! There was a green field with some trees and a fenced pond and, because the weather was very hot and sunny, we had lunch outside. Then it was presents time. We gave my uncle, among other gifts, a homemade Memory game with pictures of my family and anything related to my uncle’s life. After that, some of my cousins played football, but I preferred to relax and take pictures. We left the house near 8 p.m. and saw the sun (from the car) setting among the clouds and the mountains. We all enjoyed the day very much and I really needed a day in the nature.
